Laurier Reads Alissa York
WATERLOO and BRANTFORD Reading Groups
Alissa York, author of Fauna, will be Laurier’s Writer-in-Residence from Monday, February 25 to Friday, March 1 with an additional event the evening of March 7, 2013.
Members of “Laurier Reads Alissa York” in both Waterloo and Brantford are reading Fauna. Participants will have a special discussion session with York during her visit to Laurier. Membership is open to all students, faculty members, instructors, staff, and other members of the Laurier community.
The groups will meet to discuss Fauna from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on the following dates to explore the following themes from the book:
- Monday, January 28: Place and Memory
- Monday, February 4: Animals
- Monday, February 11: Nourishment and Narrative
Waterloo Campus: The group will meet in the Paul Martin Centre and will be led by Dr. Eleanor Ty. To join, please contact Dr. Ty at ety@wlu.ca
