Graduate Students

Career Development for the School of Business & Economics Graduate Programs, provides assistance and guidance to all SBE graduate students and alumni regarding employment and career-related issues. 

The following 
services are available to students:

  •     One-on-one employment and/or career advising appointments

  •     Specialized workshops on specific employment-related topics including:
    •      Résumé Writing
    •      Networking & the Professional Job Search
    •      Interview Skills (Behaviour-Based & Competency Models)
    •      Informational Interview
    •      Negotiating Salary
    •      Cocktail and Dining Etiquette

  •     Special Events including:
    •      Executive Recruiters Panel
    •      Annual MBA & MABE Building Connections
    •      Careers in Specific Industries

Career Development for SBE Graduate Programs is also responsible for promoting and marketing Laurier's MBA and MABE programs and students to employers. A Graduating Student Employment Service and Alumni Employment Service provide students and alumni with access to employers who are currently recruiting at Laurier, some of whom also conduct Employer Information Sessions on campus.
