Alexis Motuz
My name is Alexis. I am a second-year PhD student in the Department of English & Film Studies. Although my specialization area is Canadian Literature, my research interests also include ecocriticism, theories of embodiment, cognitive psychology, affect, representations of science & technology in poetry, and the relationship between ethics and aesthetics. I completed my MA at Wilfrid Laurier (2009) and my undergrad in the Arts & Science program at McMaster (2008). I have worked as a teaching assistant for “Writing and Informal Logic” at McMaster, as well as for the first year “Reading Poetry” and “Reading Fiction” here at Laurier.
I am excited to have the opportunity to work closely with students on their writing this year.
