Policy on number of appointments:
You are allowed to book only two appointments at a time.  There is no limit to the number of appointments you may book per year; however, you cannot bring the same paper more than twice. These policies ensure that you retain responsibility for your own work and for your growth as a writer.   Excessive reliance on Writing Centre tutors may be limited at the discretion of the Manager of the Writing Centre.

Policy on lateness:
Appointments start on the hour. If you are late by more than 10 minutes, we give the appointment to another student.

Policy on cancellations and missed appointments:
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you miss two appointments without cancelling 24 hours in advance, you may be charged a fee of $25. and lose your appointment priviledges for the term.

To cancel an appointment, call 884-0710 ext. 2220, use our online cancellation form, or drop by the Writing Centre.

Please remember that you do not need to bring in a completed draft when you come for an appointment. However, if you have not done much work on your assignment, you may prefer to reschedule your appointment and/or use the drop-in hours instead. 

Policy on take-home exams: 
If you would like to get writing help on a take-home exam, you must bring in a signed note of consent from your course instructor. Without the permission of your course instructor, we are unable to assist you with your take-home exam.
