Learning and Events
CCRLA is dedicated to promoting engaging and
dynamic opportunities for learning and skill development. Through partnerships
with community and campus groups such as Opportunities Waterloo, Laurier’s
Student Leadership Centre, and Laurier’s Centre for Community Service Learning,
we are able to offer exciting events that engage academic and community
audiences. Our Social Justice Speaker Series and Community Workshops provide
opportunities for community members, students, and faculty members to connect,
share ideas, and develop new skills.
Our 2012-2013 Social Justice Speaker Series
focuses on a theme of neoliberalism. Speakers address the influence of
neoliberalism in areas such as poverty and the environment. CCRLA is also
pleased to present workshops that facilitate reflection and development of new
skills related to topics such as knowledge sharing, deep ecology, and youth
engagement.
