Social Work alumna hospitalized in Mexico

Lynda Young fell gravely ill while on vacation in Mexico and is now in the Amerimed Hospital in Puerto Vallarta. Lynda was diagnosed with bronchitis which turned into pneumonia. She is now on a ventilator and is undergoing dialysis because her kidneys are failing. The hospitals costs are mounting and her family and friends are asking for donations to help pay her hospital bill. Peter Dunn, Associate Professor with the Faculty of Social Work, describes Lynda as an “outstanding student in our MSW program.  She has a strong commitment to social justice concerns, LGBTQ issues and holistic practices. “
