OSAP 2013-2014 Online Application is available online



Attn Laurier Students: The 2013-14 applications for OSAP and Ontario Tuition Grants are available online.


For all students who are considering applying for government funding for the upcoming 2013/2014 academic year, the online application for both the Ontario Tuition Grant program (OTG) and the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) are available online.

 

These programs may be accessed directly through the Government web portal or through the Laurier Student Awards web page. 

 

 

 

First time applicants – note that you will be required to submit a Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA) to your closest post office in order to have your funding electronically transferred to your account. Returning students who have already submitted an MSFAA will not need to resubmit this document, provided that their banking information from 2012/13 had not changed. If you have changed your banking information, access the “Bank Account Change Request form” in the National Student Loans Service Centre “Toolbox” to update your information.

 

 

Student who rely on OSAP as their primary source of funding for university should indicate that all fees be redirected to the school on their behalf to pay for their outstanding tuition/residence costs. Students who do not choose the redirect option will not have the opportunity to have late payment fees reversed by the Business Office.

 

Similar to past years, the Student Awards Office encourages all students to apply early for OSAP funding. Due to the high volume of applications, students should apply by mid-July to allow for processing of documentation and to ensure that their funding will be available to them at the start of the semester. After mid-July, the Student Awards Office can not guarantee processing of documentation prior to the start of the fall 2013 semester.

Students who apply for OSAP funding and submitted all required documentation before August 1st will be eligible to have their late payment fees reversed by the Business Office provided the redirection of fall OSAP funding covers all outstanding fees. Students who have submitted their application online may check the status of their OSAP application by logging into their LORIS account with the University and accessing the “View My Student Aid” link on the Student Awards and Financial Aid tab.

 

Please note that the Student Awards Office can not process through OSAP applications for 2013/14 until tuition fees have been approved by the Board of Governors. This will occur in mid-June.
