Laurier Donor Supported Bursary Program
Bursary assistance is granted based on financial need, and we have a number of bursaries which have been created by the generosity of donors. There are bursary opportunities available to both full and part time students, as well as graduate and undergraduate students. The description online will indicate the specific criteria for each opportunity (it is not possible to meet the eligibility criteria for all available donor supported bursary opportunities).
FOR THE 2012/2013 ACADEMIC YEAR, THE APPLICATION DEADLINE WAS: August 17, 2012.
Applications were available online on LORIS as of APRIL 1, 2012.
Information on this program for the 2013/2014 academic year will be posted by early summer 2013 (the process for applying for donor bursaries will be changing for the 2013/2014 academic year, complete details on this new process will be online this summer).
Recipients will be notified by e-mail (to the WLU e-mail account) by mid March 2013. If selected, the funds were applied to student accounts with the Business Office for the upcoming academic term(s).

Applications were submitted on LORIS, and the online form included a description of each opportunity, a check box to indicate which opportunity (s) you would like to be considered for, as well as a financial statement. There were two mandatory sections to the application; Section 1 where you indicate which opportunities you would like to apply for, as well as Section 2 containing the financial information. If the online form times out due to inactivity, you can log back in to complete the remaining section(s).
A complete list of opportunities which are available through this program will be posted online in the summer 2013.
Please note that this program is separate from our Entrance Bursary, Laurier General Tuition Bursary, First Generation Bursary, and Post Secondary Education and Training Bursary. It is possible to receive bursary funding from more than one of these sources. Separate applications are required for each of these programs.
