Student Access Guarantee: The Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities (MTCU) and Ontario's provincially assisted universities and colleges are partnering to support access to postsecondary education. In March of 2006, the Ministry ended a two-year tuition freeze and announced a new Tuition Framework starting in the Fall 2006. Postsecondary institutions are required to participate in the Student Access Guarantee (SAG) that states "no qualified Ontario student should be prevented from attending Ontario's public colleges and universities due to lack of financial support programs. Students should have access to the resources they need for their tuition and books and mandatory fees when these are above the usual range of costs covered by OSAP".

Bursary assistance for international graduate students is only available during the fall and winter terms; due to extremely limited funding, no bursary assistance is available during the spring and summer terms.
Note that the amount of financial assistance available through these bursaries is very small in relation to the total cost of full-time attendance at university. International students must have adequate resources to finance their education apart from any assistance provided by the university. Basic living and education costs are to be met by the student or their sponsor. Applications for these bursaries will be accepted only after registration at Laurier and the commencement of classes.
