The university endeavours to ensure that the research and teaching undertaken in laboratories is conducted in a safe manner with due regard for employees, members of the public and the environment.
The Laboratory Health and Safety Manual provides information on health and safety policies and procedures and serves to define minimum standards for safe practices in the university’s research and teaching laboratories.
The Environmental Occupational Health & Safety Office will review the manual on an annual basis with a comprehensive review to be conducted every five years.
