I. Purpose
The university endeavours to ensure that the use of radioactive materials is carried out in a safe manner with due regard for employees, members of the public and the environment.
The university is committed to implement and enforce an effective radiation safety program to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) Regulatory Guide R 52 (Rev 1) Design Guide for Basic and Intermediate Level Radioisotope Laboratories or updated regulations.
