Inclusive Excellence Certificate Program



The Diversity & Equity Office (DEO) is pleased to launch the workshop series for this year's Inclusive Excellence Certificate Program. The goal of this certificate is to engage Laurier staff and faculty in conversations about diversity and equity and to provide resources, knowledge, and tools required to make Laurier an inclusive campus.

To obtain the certificate, you must attend/complete 4 workshops.

Upcoming Sessions

Panel Discussion: "Inclusive Leadership: Exploring Critical Connections between Diversity, Equity, & Social Justice"

(Part of the Inclusive Excellence Certificate Program)

Join us over the lunch hour for a session that will engage audience in exploring issues of equity and social justice as they pertain to leadership. The panel will feature the followings speakers:

- Jan Boomhouwer (Student Coordinator, Diversity & Equity Office): Allyship as a form of leadership

- Jean Becker (Senior Advisor, Aboriginal Initiatives): An indigenous perspective on contemporary leadership in Aboriginal communities in Canada

- Adrienne Luft (Mental Health/Student Support Team Leader): Mental health and leadership

- Dr. Carol Duncan (Associate Professor and Chair of Religion and Culture): Equity and diversity issues at the heart of education in the Arts
