Management Group Performance Appraisal
The annual Performance Appraisal process is integral to Laurier's success as it provides managers and employees with a shared understanding of what is required (through work and development goals) and how success can be achieved.
Appraisals typically take place around June/July, and assess the performance year from July 1st to June 30th.

Employee Self‐Assessment is completed by the employee and submitted to their direct manager |

Manager completes the Performance Appraisal Form and conducts appraisal meeting with employee |

Managers submit merit increase spreadsheets and signed performance appraisal forms to Human Resources |
July 12th |
|
Compiled merit recommendations sent to appropriate Senior Administrator for final review and approval |
August 5th |
|
Senior Administrators review merit recommendations for their unit and provide approval to Human Resources |
August 16th |
|
Merit recommendations finalized and approved by President’s Group |
Late August or Early September |

Finalized merit increases communicated to managers who will notify increases to each employee |
September 6th |
|
Letters sent to employees receiving merit increases |
September 13th |
|
Merit increases are processed on the September pay deposit, retroactive to July 1st. |
