Midterm exam will be held on Feb 29 in class. Midterm exam will cover Ch 1 to Ch 6, inclusive, of the textbook (4th edition). Ch7 and Ch9 will NOT be covered in the midterm exam. Exam will be 1 hour and 15 minutes long. You have to answer FOUR out of FOUR multi-part problem solving questions. Total marks of the exam are 50.
To prepare for the exam, I strongly recommend you to work out Assignment 1 and 2 which are posted on the website. You should go through the posted solutions to the assignments. You should study the textbook and go through the lecture slides and your class lecture notes carefully. In particular, you should study the worked out numerical problems and the mathematical derivations from the textbook and lecture slides.

Due to the power outage I could not take the midterm exam on Feb 29. As I announced on that day, Midterm exam will be held in class tomorrow (March 5).

Final exam will be held in A.C. (Athletic Complex) from 8:30 am to 11:00 am on April 16 (Monday).
As I mentioned in last class, final exam will cover Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of the textbook ( 4th edition). However, please note that the following materials will NOT be covered in the exam: Section 7.6 of Chapter 7, Section 10.5 of Chapter 10, Sections 12.1 and 12.4 of Chapter 12.
Exam will be 2 hours 30 Minutes long. You have to answer Five out of FIVE multi-part problem solving questions. Total marks of the exam is 100.
To prepare for the exam, I strongly recommend you to work out all Optional Assignments which are posted on the website. You should go through the solutions to the assignments and midterm exam. You should study the textbook and go through the lecture slides and your class lecture notes carefully. In particular, you should make sure that you understand all of the models with a graphical explanation. You should also make sure that you are comfortable in solving all of the numerical problems and doing all of the mathematical derivations which are fully or partially worked out in the lecture slides and/or in the textbook.

In Assignment 5, I have assigned some questions from the end-of-chapter probelms of Ch 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the textbook. Today I have posted an updated version of Assignment 5 where I attached a scanned copy of the assigned textbook questions for your convenience.
