Midterm exam will be held on Oct 25 (monday) in class. Exam will cover Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Exam will be 1 hour and 15 minutes long. It will have the following two parts:

Part A: 30 multiple choice questions     30*1 = 30 marks

Part B: 6 problem solving/analytical questions 6*5 = 30 marks

To prepare for the exam I srongly recommend you to work out the optional assignments (1 and 2) which are posted on the course website and Practice Questions - Set 1, Set 2, Set 3, Set 4 and Set 5, which are posted on MyEconLab. 

You should also study the textbook chapters and your class lecture notes. In particular, you should make sure that you understand all the models and its graphical explanations, and you can solve the problems which are worked out for you in the 'Application' section of the textbook.

I will hold extra office hours from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on Oct 25 (monday). Please feel free to stop by if you have any last minute question.

EC 223 Final Exam will be held in Athletic Complex on Dec 11 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. As I mentioned in last class, final exam will cover Chapter 1 to Chapter 7, inclusive, Chapter 13, Chapter 16, and Chapter 17(only pages 431 -445, inclusive) from the textbook (4th edition).  Exam will be 3 hours long. It will have the following two parts:

Part A: 50 multiple choice questions                   50*1 = 50 marks
