1. January 13, 2010

I will take a make-up class for both Section A and B together on Jan 15 (friday) from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. The class will be held in BA 101 (Bricker Academic Bldg).

2. February 26, 2010

Midterm exam will be held in class on March 2. Exam will cover Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4 and Appendix to Chapter 4. Exam will be 1 hour and 15 minutes long. It will have the following three parts:

Part A: 15 multiple choice questions  15*2 = 30 marks

Part B: 2 out of 3 short questions 2*5 = 10 marks

Part B: 2 multi-part problem solving questions  30 marks

As a part of your exam preparation, I srongly recommend you to work out the optional assignments which are posted on the course website.

3. Apri 6, 2010

Final Exam will be held in University Stadium on April 23 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Final Exam will be a comprehensive exam. It will cover Chapter 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, Appendix to Chapter 4, Appendix to Chapter 5, Appendix to Chapter 6, Appendix 1 to Chapter 8, and Appendix 2 to Chapter 8 from the textbook.  All of the exam materials will be more or less equally covered.

Exam will be 3 hours long. It will have the following two parts:

Part A: 40 Multiple-choice questions 40* 1 = 40 marks

Part B: 3 out of 4 Short Questions / 'True, False or Uncertain with explanation' type questions  3* 5 = 15 marks.

Part C: 3 Multi-part Problem Solving Questions 45 marks  

To prepare for the exam, I strongly recommend you to work out  the optional assignments which are posted on the website. You should also go through the solutions to the midterm exam which is posted on the course website. You should study the chapters from the textbook and go through the lecture slides and your class lecture notes carefully.  In particular, you should make sure that you understand all of the models  with graphical explanations.

April 22nd 1:00 - 3:00 pm

You can also pick up your midterm exams during the above mentioned office hours if you have not already done so.
