A panel discussion entitled "Strengthening Our Resolve: Movement Building and Ongoing Resistance to the G20 Agenda" took place Sept. 15, 2010 at Laurier’s Faculty of Social Work. The subsequent arrest of one of the panel members for reasons related to previously imposed bail conditions has given rise to considerable discussion about freedom of expression.

At Wilfrid Laurier University we support academic freedom and respectful freedom of expression. It fulfills its mission by advancing knowledge, supporting and enhancing high-quality undergraduate, graduate and professional education, and emphasizing co-curricular development of the whole student.
