Research Opportunities
The laboratory for neural computation, ageing, and memory is always looking for talented students and researchers to join at all levels of expertise. Undergraduate (honours) and graduate (Master’s or PhD) students interested in conducting a research thesis, as well as potential postdotoral fellows are welcome to contact Dr.
Marrone to discuss the possibility of working in this exciting area.
NCAM aims to be a first class research facility where students can gain hands on experience with:
• Functional neuronal imaging techniques (e.g., laser scanning confocal microscopy)
• Molecular biology techniques (e.g, immunohostochemistry, in situ hybridization)
• Parallel multi-unit electrophysiology
Opportunities
also exist for students to gain core research skills including:
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Scientific writing and oral communication
