Human Rights & Human Diversity with Human Resources Management

Human resources is a key sector where the concerns of human rights and human diversity meet the practical reality of workplaces, whether in the public, private or non-profit sector. Hiring, promotions, and workplace conditions have serious and immediate implications for whether individuals of diverse backgrounds and identities enjoy the equality and opportunities that human rights principles suggest everyone deserves.

Students in the Honours Human Rights and Human Diversity program may specialize in Human Resources Management through an articulation agreement with Conestoga College. This post-grad diploma/post-degree program provides students with all of the required educational components to become a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).

Under this agreement, students who have completed 10.0 credits in the Human Rights & Human Diversity program, including the required 100-level and 200-level HRHD courses and OL224 with a minimum GPA of 5.0 in these courses, will be eligible to enroll in the post-diploma/post-degree program in Human Resources Management at Conestoga College. If these students complete the courses at Conestoga with an average of 70% or better, they will receive the following credits: 1.0 miscellaneous HRHD Category I Elective credits, 1.0 miscellaneous HRHD Category II Elective credits, OL250, OL260, OL311, OL312, and 1.0 miscellaneous senior credits.

The Conestoga Post-Graduate Human Resources Management Diploma program is offered in course-work only

Starting September 2012 Conestoga will be offering the post-grad diploma on Laurier's Brantford Campus.
