The purpose of the PhD & Masters Programs Advisory Board is to provide advice on strategic planning and to develop the Program's reputation locally, nationally and globally as a leader in graduate business education. As a visible and influential body in the School, the Board acts as a conduit to link resources and opportunities to the programs.

The Laurier School of Business & Economics has over 100 full-time faculty with many academic strengths and industry connections. Many faculty have a high level of research expertise working in interdisciplinary groups, as well as being involved in their own independent research projects, and hold substantial research grants from agencies such as NSERC and SSHRC.
Laurier School of Business & Economics is host to several prestigious research positions: two Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) Chairs in International Public Policy, the Balsillie Chair in International Economics and Financial Governance (Economics & Finance), the Balsillie Chair in International Supply Chain Management Facilitation and Security (ODS), the Canada Research Chair in Organizational Sustainability, the Research Chair in Enterprise Integration and Technology Management, the Betty & Peter Sims Professor of Entrepreneurship, the Chair in Management Technology Enterprises, and the Chair of Insurance, as well as Journal Editors, Directors of Centres of Research Excellence, Conference Chairs, and advisors to some of Canada's leading organizations. These extensive resources allow the PhD & Masters programs to provide opportunities for well-qualified students to pursue doctoral and masters studies in an intellectually stimulating environment.
