Funding & Awards
PhD in Management Student Funding
Students admitted to study on a full-time basis in doctoral programs are guaranteed a minimum of $19,000 per year for up to four years. The average level of annual funding for eligible doctoral students at Laurier exceeds $20,000. Such support is made up of teaching assistantships, internal and/or external scholarship awards and research assistantships, where available. Students must meet the scholarship eligibility requirement of the university.
MSc in Management Student Funding
Eligible MSc in Management students admitted to study on a full-time basis are guaranteed financial support averaging approximately $12,000 for each eligible year of study. Such support is made up of teaching assistantships and internal and/or external scholarship awards. Some research assistantship support is also available; students are encouraged to contact their academic program for more information. Major award holders (OGS, CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) in the research master's programs are eligible for the Dean's Scholarship, valued at $7,500.
Master of Finance Student Funding
Master of Finance students are automatically considered for internal scholarships upon admission and are encouraged to apply for external awards. There is no guaranteed funding for MFin students.
Ontario Trillium Scholarship
Strong international PhD applicants are encouraged to apply for an Ontario Trillium Scholarship, valued at $40,000 per year for up to four years. Part 1 of the application should be submitted with your application materials to our office by January 15, 2013. Applicants must contact their intended doctoral dissertation advisor to complete Part 2 and submit it to our office by February 15, 2013.
