PhD Admissions Requirements
Admission into the PhD program is judged primarily on the applicant’s ability to undertake research successfully and his/her prospects for completion of the program. Therefore, students are admitted to the program with a course of study designed, when appropriate, to supplement previous education, experience and training. For example, the Accounting program requires a Master's Degree with a minimum B+ average in a related discipline OR a Bachelor's Degree with at least an A- average plus a professional designation in accounting (CA, CMA, CGA). Students considered for the Financial Economics program may be admitted with a Master's Degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline. The Marketing program considers students with a Master's Degree in Business or Psychology. The program in Operations & Supply Chain Management considers admitting students with a Master's Degree in Business, Engineering or Mathematics. Similarly, the program in Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management considers students with a Masters Degree in Business, Social Work or Psychology. Advanced standing in courses specific to the candidate’s program of study is considered.
