Anna Mae Simington Scholarship Award



To celebrate the life of Anna Mae Simington, the Brantford Impaired Driving Advisory Committee will award a scholarship valued at $300.00 in 2014.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Award winner must be graduating from a Brant County High School and accepted to a college or university in the Fall of 2014 or currently enrolled in a local post-secondary institution

  • Student must have a good academic standing as determined by his/her school

  • Award winner must have a history of volunteer work either in the school and the Brant-Brantford community

  • Students will have been involved directly or indirectly with impaired driving or victims' rights issues

  • Winning student must consent to release of his/her name and photograph to the media

Application Process:

  • Student applicant will submit a one-page outline of his/her volunteer work focusing on impaired driving or victims' rights issues

  • Student will also supply 2 reference letters written by people who have knowledge of the student's volunteer commitment to the community

  • All applications must be forwarded to the following address by Friday, May 30th, 2014
