My Laurier Brantford Experience

The minute I set foot on the Laurier Brantford campus, I knew this was the place for me. I was instantly greeted by warm, energetic people who wanted to get to know me and who were eager to extend their Laurier family. Coming to Laurier Brantford has given me the opportunity to broaden my horizons as a student leader in amazing positions and through this I have met life-long friends. You can never go wrong with getting involved!

I have been incredibly fortunate with my volunteering positions within Laurier and Nipissing. I had the incredible experience of being an executive of communications for Brantford Residence Council (residence is amazing!), Laurier students for literacy volunteer, Student advisory council volunteer, Orientation week icebreaker, head icebreaker, Nipissing University Student’s Ambassador president, a French tutor, cheerleading team member, note taker and the student life office’s Student Diversity Intern. This coming year I will hold the position of Student Ambassador, cheerleading team member, Orientation week executive and Night Hawks coordinator. I am completely thrilled for the year to come!

I am currently living with six fantastic individuals five minutes from campus and I love seeing all the friendly faces in class and around Brantford! I am so lucky to have met my friends through all the volunteering experiences I have been apart of. When you walk down the street, people know you, you see friends everywhere you go and you feel like an important part of the community.  Laurier Brantford is a family, and the more the merrier! J
