Available Course/Program Support

Community Service-Learning (CSL) staff can assist faculty and departments in a variety of ways by discussing the following with you:

  • how your course goals can be met by CSL
  • the range of community engagement activities which make most sense for your course and for the community (e.g. placements, projects, individual or group activities, guest lecturers, community panels, types of community partners, etc.)
  • the option of choosing either a mandatory or optional CSL
  • how your student reflections can be structured and evaluated (e.g. private written or public oral, percentage of grade and class time, evaluation criteria)
  • how our CSL Portal (on-line CSL Management System) works and can help to support community engagement activities for your students
  • resources that are available through our office
