Conditional Admission Upon Completion Of ESL
Conditional Offers of Admission will be awarded for September 2013 entry to academically qualified students who are enrolled in and plan to complete an English Language Certificate Program with one of our recognized ESL programs. This means that a conditional Offer of Admission to Laurier can be awarded at the same time as an Offer is made to your Laurier-affiliated English language program. This will appeal to applicants who want the certainty of two Letters of Acceptance before they leave home, which will cover the English language training and the subsequent time spent at Laurier. Conditions will be removed upon completion of the English language program at the level and grade specified and submission of final official transcripts.
Laurier English & Academic Foundation (LEAF) Program
The Laurier English & Academic Foundation (LEAF) Program will allow academically qualified students who do not meet Laurier's English proficiency requirements the opportunity to receive a conditional offer of admission pending completion of the 5-level program. That means no TOEFL or IELTS scores are required. In each calendar year there are two 14-week cycles and two 8-week intensive cycles. Upon arrival, students will be given a placement test to determine which of the five levels is best suited for them. Our courses will focus on academic English. They are designed to prepare students for success in university. For starting points and tuition fees please visit the LEAF section of our website.
