Bangalore, India

Hello! My name is Tarun and I am a 2nd year Global Studies student. Although my hometown is Bangalore, India, I spent 7 years before university in Singapore. Choosing which university to attend is perhaps one of the most important decisions in a personís life. As I have spent my entire life in Asia, I was fairly nervous to move all the way to Canada. However, a year later, I have no regrets coming to Wilfrid Laurier University. It is a great university and Waterloo is also a great place to stay. My first year in university residence was probably one of the most memorable ones in my life. The people and the friendly atmosphere of the campus really helped me settle in and feel at home in Laurier. Also Laurier has a very nice community- oriented feel towards it, which helped me feel completely at home. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to come to this excellent university.

Apart from academic excellence, Laurier also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities. One of my biggest passions is tennis, and I was highly involved in Laurierís tennis club. The wide variety of clubs allows one to explore and discover his/her talents and interests. You can also start a club that pertains to your interest and add to the long list of Laurier wide variety of clubs! I am very happy to be an international Ambassador this year. If you have any questions, queries or concerns, please feel free to contact me and it would be my pleasure to help out. I hope to meet you around the Laurier campus!
