Hello everyone! My name is Sonia Yuzhou YE from Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. I am now in my second year studying Business at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am very excited to be a member of the International Student Ambassador Team! After one year Laurier already feels like home – I have had many opportunities to meet lots of friends from my program, residence building, and also from Laurier’s international student community. I really enjoy the friendly environment here, it’s been so easy to make new friends!

Last year I was named a recipient of the Neo Material Technologies Academic Scholarship of Distinction which was a great honour! I went to the scholarship celebration ceremony and got a chance to thank my donor in person and discuss my studies and career plans with him. It was a great night and truly a special opportunity for me.

I am so proud to be a part of this enthusiastic community. Everyone at Laurier feels passionate about what they do in the university. Students perform well not only on academic studies, but also on extra curricular activities like volunteering.  I have experienced a terrific year studying as an international student at Wilfrid Laurier University. I hope that you will be joining us next year!

大家好！我是来自中国江苏南京的叶雨舟。现在我就读于劳瑞尔大学商科专业大二。非常开心今年我能够成为劳瑞尔大学国际学生大使队伍中的一员。尽管我只在加拿大度过了８个月的时间，劳瑞尔已经给了我一种家的感觉——我有很多很多的机会可以从我的专业、住宿楼、和国际学生圈里交到朋友。我很喜欢这里友好的气氛，如果你有任何的困难加入到我们这个大家庭中，请尽管联系我，如果能帮到大家我会很开心的！

劳瑞尔是一个可以点亮我人生的地方。很荣幸在2012年上半年我能够被提名为Neo Material Technologies公司赞助的奖学金获奖者之一。我得到了可以去参加颁奖典礼的机会。我亲自感谢了我的捐赠者，并向他描述了我的大学生活和职业计划。这是我大学的社交生涯中一个非常特殊的机会。

我非常骄傲可以成为这样一个朝气蓬勃的学校中的一部分。每一个在劳瑞尔生活的学生都带着激情去做他们需要做的每一件事情。学生们不仅在学习上取得了优异的成绩，更在志愿者或是工作等课外活动上表现得非常出色。在劳瑞尔的第一年我过得非常愉快，希望你可以加入我们，并在这里找到你自己！
