Hi there! The moment has come for you to make one of the most important decisions of your life-choosing which university to attend. Since this is such an important decision, it is essential you research each university that interests you, in order to make an informed decision. I hope that what I share with you helps with that decision and leads you to making the right one! My name is Alejandro and I am an international student from Mexico going into my third year in the BBA Program.

From the first day I stepped on campus and went to my first class, I knew I had made the right choice. The electric, open, and welcoming atmosphere at Laurier allows you to feel like a member of the community and meet new people, regardless of where you are from. They say university is the best four years of your life, and believe me, my first two years at Laurier have surpassed all my expectations. I am part of the Varsity Soccer team, which has been a great experience, and I feel proud every time I put on my Golden Hawk jersey and represent my school on the field.

 Academically, Laurier is a world renowned educational institution, with a very strong reputation and world-class Faculty. Geographically, it couldn’t be better located. I study at our Waterloo campus. The city is home to three post-secondary institutions, so students are the majority anywhere you go and it is just an hour away from Toronto, which makes it very convenient.

People at Laurier are ‘the cherry on top of the cake’. Everyone’s enthusiasm and energy is contagious, and you will quickly feel at home. I have met some of the most important people in my life at Laurier and they have really made my university experience exceptional. I really hope that you, as I did at Laurier, find your perfect university and enjoy the best four years of your life while receiving a high quality education that expands your future opportunities. Best of luck!

¡Hola! El momento para hacer una de las decisiones más importantes de tu vida ha llegado; es por eso que saber lo más que puedas de cada universidad es tan importante. Espero que lo que voy a compartir contigo te ayude a tomar la decisión correcta. Me llamo Alejandro y soy un estudiante internacional de México. Este septiembre estaré entrando a mi tercer año en el programa de Administración de Negocios (BBA). Cuando vine a Laurier por primera vez no sabía mucho de la universidad, pero desde que llegué supe que había tomado una buena decisión. El ambiente abierto, eléctrico y amigable que se siente aquí me ayudó a acoplarme y a hacer amigos rápidamente. Dicen que los años de universidad son los mejores años de tu vida, y créeme que, en Laurier, mis dos primeros años más que superaron las expectativas que tenía. Laurier es una universidad académicamente reconocida en todo el mundo, con una fuerte reputación y maestros de clase mundial. Geográficamente no podría estar mejor localizada; está a tan solo una hora de Toronto, lo que hace las cosas muy convenientes. La gente en Laurier es muy enérgica y entusiasta, lo que ayuda a sentirse como en casa. He conocido a algunas de las personas más importantes de mi vida en Laurier y han hecho que mi experiencia aquí sea aún mejor.
