Hello, I’m Parker Zhang from Lishui, China, where I graduated from Zhejiang Jinhua No.1 High School. I’m an International Student Ambassador and a 3rd year Honours Economics Student at Laurier’s School of Business and Economics. Our International Student Ambassador team was founded in the winter of 2011. Being an Ambassador from the start, I have worked for the International Recruitment & Admissions office for almost two years. When I first came to Canada, I had no friends or relatives here and I know how hard it is for a new international student to get started. Therefore, I’d be happy to help all international applicants and I hope I can give you my assistance and help you to adapt to your new environment.

After school and work, my Laurier life is very fascinating. I made more than two thousand dollars in my first year stock competition. My Canadian friends have taught me how to play football, frisbee, skateboarding and bowling, which are among some of the favourite activities for young Canadians. Also, Laurier Sports Club organized trips to several NBA games in Toronto  with a very inexpensive ticket price. All these memories are only a small part of my Laurier experience. I invite you to take a tour of Wilfrid Laurier University, as I would like to be your guide and can share my Laurier experiences with you.
