Rachael Diamond (graduated 2012)
I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours BSc in Chemistry in June 2009 and an MSc in Chemistry (May 2012). My undergraduate thesis project was on Copper speciation in marine systems. My undergraduate experiences in the Smith Lab lead me to the Masterís program at WLU. My Masters project under the supervision of Dr. S. Smith focused on characterizing dissolved organic matter and itís binding with copper, zinc and lead. This research is working towards adapting the Biotic Ligand Model for copper, lead and zinc in saltwater systems.
Currently I work as a chemist at Canada General Tower in Cambridge ON.
