Laurier Enriched Academic Program

Our campers are gifted/highly able children and youth
in grades 1-9 who are looking for a day camp
that piques their curiosity
and has a large “fun” quotient.

  • LEAP programs are designed and led by certified teachers
  • Leaders employ innovative and creative approaches to learning
  • Camps provide a rich variety of activities to appeal to all types of learners
  • LEAP offers programs to these age groupings: Gr. 1-3, Gr. 4-6, Gr. 6-8 and Gr. 7-9 (based on the grade your child is entering in September 2014)
  • Individual camps are organized around a central theme

LEAP enrichment camps are offered twice a year:

  • Sensational Saturdays run for six Saturday mornings from the end of January through the beginning of March.

  • Summer camp runs for two weeks, July 6-10th and 13-17th, 2015.  Registration will open in March 2015.

Runs for six Saturdays from January 31 through March 7, 2015

Amazing Archeology – Megan Garcia

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if there was no language; how would you invent ways to communicate? What artifact would best explain life in Waterloo Region in 2015 if future researchers were trying to understand our culture? What is it like to be the first person in hundreds of years to see an ancient site? In this camp, you will learn to see the world through the eyes on an archeologist, and to understand the meaning of material remains. For our big project, we will use our creativity to formulate cultures of our own and invent artifacts to go along with it which will then be buried for others to find and interpret. Together we will take a trip through the past.

Information on financial aid for LEAP campers who live in Woolwich County can be found here.
