Testimonial: Lianne Leddy
I have the pleasure to comment on my nine years in History at Laurier, at both the undergrad and PhD levels. As an undergraduate student, I was encouraged to take a breadth of courses that allowed me to expand my interest in different areas of historical inquiry. I had the benefit of being taught by approachable, engaging professors who fostered my ability to think critically and communicate effectively. Ultimately, I pursued my interest in Canadian and Aboriginal history at the graduate level, and found an encouraging environment where I could grow as a scholar. As a result of my experience in the Laurier History department, I was well-prepared for my career in teaching and researching Aboriginal history at Memorial University.
