Senior Teachables

I am interested in Intermediate/Senior. How can I upgrade?

Students can earn qualifications to teach at the Senior level (grade 11 and 12) by taking Additional Basic Qualification (ABQ) courses after they graduate. If planning on pursuing these courses through Nipissing University, students should take a minimum of 3.0 credits in a teachable subject. Students should not take more than 1.0 credit at the 100 level. To aid in acquiring the necessary credits, students can limit the number of elective courses they take (replacing with teachable courses) and ensuring that they register in Other Discipline teachable courses. Some universities do require the completion of 5.0 credits to take the Senior Division ABQ course, so it is best to check the requirements for each specific institution.
