Transfer Students



The Concurrent Education program reserves a limited number of seats for students wishing to transfer. Entry into the program is competitive. Students interested in transferring into the program are encouraged to do so after their first year of studies. Students in Years 3 and 4 are eligible to transfer, however they should note that the program will take a full four years to complete in addition to the courses that are already completed at Laurier or as transfer credits. 


Current Laurier Students

Students currently enrolled in a program at Wilfrid Laurier University can apply to transfer into the Concurrent Education program using the BA/BEd Concurrent Education Request for Program Transfer Form found here.  The Request for Program Transfer Form must be submitted to the Admissions Office by May 1st.

Eligibility:
1. A minimum overall GPA at Laurier of 7.00
2. Registered in an honours program at Laurier
3. Minimum 70% in ENG4U
4. Minimum 60% in a 4U mathematics course or a mathematics course completed at Laurier. If the math requirement will be completed outside of Laurier, the transcripts should be received by the Admissions Office by May 31. Please indicate that transcripts are forthcoming if you have not completed the Math requirement by the May 1 deadline of the Request for Transfer form.

Program Format

Concurrent Education students will typically complete the program in four years.  Please refer to the schedule outlined in the related information section below for the courses to be taken each year of the program.
