Concurrent Education: Year by Year
Useful information by year in the Concurrent Education program.

Year 1
- Register in four Laurier courses in each of the Fall and Winter terms
- Check out the Registration and Information Guide for course registration information
- Attend a Concurrent Education Headstart day during the summer before you start university
- Understand the progression requirements for your program
- Do not schedule Laurier courses before 4 p.m. in the Fall term and 7 p.m. in the Winter term on Mondays
Year 2
- Register in three Laurier courses in each of the Fall and Winter terms
- NU 2020 will count as 1.0 credit towards your Laurier degree as well as your overall GPA
- Visit the Year 2 Registration Guide
- Understand the progression requirements for your program
- Do not schedule Laurier courses before 7 p.m. on Mondays
Year 3
- Register in three Laurier courses in the Fall and four Laurier courses in the Winter (or vice-versa)
- NU 2091/2092 will count as 1.0 credit towards your Laurier degree as well as your overall GPA
- Understand the progression requirements for your program
- Do not schedule Laurier courses before 7 p.m. on Mondays
Year 4
- Register in four Laurier courses in the Fall and five Laurier courses in the Winter (or vice-versa)
- You should be nearing completion of your required courses as you will only be taking Laurier courses during the Fall of year 5
- You may schedule Laurier classes on Mondays in either semester
Year 5
- Register in six Laurier courses during the Fall term only
- Do not register or plan to take Laurier courses during the Winter tem
- Make an appointment with the BA BEd Academic Coordinator during the summer to review your registration
