Tag Day
Marking Laurier’s third annual Tag Day, more than 700 tags will appear on all of Laurier’s campuses Tuesday to Thursday, March 19-21, 2013. Intended to generate awareness of how donations and philanthropy positively impact Laurier and its student experience every day, Tag Day’s student volunteers attached tags to places and objects that are made possible or enhanced through donations.
While not all of the tagged items have been directly provided through donations (it would have been hard to tag thousands of books and journals, for example), they represent the sheer volume of improvements realized through support from alumni, students, faculty and staff, parents and friends.
Whether it’s a computer station at the library, a building filled with classrooms, new lab equipment or extra scholarships or bursaries, enhancements that are provided through donations like these make the Laurier experience exceptional.
Besides raising awareness, Tag Day recognizes the people who come together to affect Laurier in a positive, meaningful way. On behalf of all of the members of the Laurier community, thank you to the thousands of donors who support the Laurier experience!
