Conestoga College Human Resources Management Option



The Human Resources Management Program is a post-graduate program offered at Conestoga College, and is now offered in Brantford (effective September 2012). Through an articulation agreement between Conestoga College and Laurier Brantford, Leadership students in their third year of studies may be eligible to enroll in the program.

Conestoga College Information Session

The Conestoga College Information Session for 2011-2012 will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 2:30 p.m. in Grand River Hall, Room 105.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Available in Year 3
  • Registered in the Honours Leadership Program
  • Completed the required Leadership courses: OL140, CT/CC/OL221, OL/CT224, OL/CC233
  • Minimum GPA of 5.0 (C) on the above courses

Transfer Credits

Students who complete the Conestoga College program with an average of 70% or better will receive 4.0 senior OL credits including credit for the following courses:

  • OL250, OL260, OL311 and OL312;
  • 1.0 miscellaneous senior credit; and,
  • The requirement to complete an online course will be waived.

Applying to Conestoga College

1. Apply to the program online through the Ontario College Application Service http://www.ocas.ca.

2. Notify the Academic Advisors (lbacademicadvising@wlu.ca) that you have applied to this program and provide her with the following information:

  • WLU ID
  • OCAS Application Number
  • Name of Program Applied To
  • Program Code
3. If you are accepted to the college, you must submit a Letter of Permission to the Registrar’s Office for an assessment of your eligibility and to pre-arrange for your transfer credits. You will be notified if approved. See the Academic Advisors for assistance with this.

4. Confirm your program during Program Confirmation (end of February to mid- April) on LORIS or using a paper Program Selection Form during your year away to ensure you can register for your Year 4 courses that summer.

5. Upon completion, arrange to have your final, official transcripts (from Conestoga) forwarded from Conestoga to Laurier’s Registrar’s Office.
