International Practicum Program (IPP)
Welcome to the International Practicum Program.
The purpose of the Faculty of Social Work's International Practicum Program (IPP) is to provide students with practicum opportunities to develop knowledge and skills related to social work practice in developing countries, i.e. countries with social/economic/political contexts that are significantly different from Canada, or areas of Canada with social/economic/political contexts that are significantly different from the rest of the country (e.g., remote First Nation reserves).
The program is offered to Master of Social Work (MSW) students in the 2 year full-time program and MSW students in the 4 year part-time program.
The Faculty of Social Work collaborates with international organizations that offer MSW students challenging and unique opportunities.
