Mid-term Examinations
Requests for deferred Political Science mid-term examinations are dealt with and approved by the instructor in each course.

Final Examinations
A deferred or alternate date for writing a final examination due to extenuating circumstances may be granted in accordance with the Faculty of Arts Deferred Examination Guidelines by the Undergraduate Program Coordinator in consultation with the Department Chair. The student should approach the Undergraduate Program Coordinator with the reason why an alternate exam date is necessary. Official documentation must accompany any request for deferred examinations.

Please note that deferred final exams will NOT be granted for the following reasons:

• work conflict (the student has to work)
• vacation (the Undergraduate Calendar clearly states that no vacation plans should be made during the final exam period)
• a plane ticket has been purchased for return home within Canada
