Xerox MFD (Multi-Functional Device Copy/Print/Scan/Fax) Print Driver
Instructions for First Use:
NOTE: These instructions are for Window XP x32 bit users who use the Novell Client with NDPS. You need to be logged into Novell in order to use the Xerox MFD Print Driver. The print driver will not be accessible if you use the “Workstation” only option.
- Open any document to print using a University approved software package such as a Microsoft Word document, Adobe Acrobat PDF document or Wordperfect document.
- Click “File”
- Click “Print”
- On your printers drop down box select the Xerox MFD you are printing to. The print driver is labeled WLU_TREEXerox-(room)-m1/m2/c1/c2).Printers.Waterloo.WL etc. For example if the device is in Printing Services the print driver would be labeled: WLU_TREEXerox-R131.M1.Printers.Waterloo.WL
- Click “OK”
- A pop up box will appear with two fields that you must input information in. For “User ID” input your Xerox MFD User ID code (a.k.a Copier access code). For “Account ID”, please input the number “1” and click “OK”. NOTE: The number “1” will be seen as an asterisk “*” when typing the number in the “Account ID” field.
- Check to see if your document has printed out on the MFD your print driver is programmed for.
If your printout is sitting in the copier tray you have successfully programmed your print driver. The pop screen will appear each time you print, but it will remember the “User ID” and “Account ID” that you have entered in. You will have to click on “OK” each time you print.
