Lindsay's Hons. B.Sc. research is focussed on defining seasonal water balances for sections of seismic lines. Her preliminary results indicate that seismic lines may also influence the cycling and storage of water at the basin scale, especially where seismic lines run through bogs and other landforms that do not have a hydrological connection to the basin drainage network. Lindsay found that during periods of high moisture supply, seismic lines often convey water from such bogs to the basin drainage network, thereby increasing the area that supplies water to the latter.
