Laurier International Friendship Extension L.I.F.E.

An incredible volunteer opportunity with Laurier International!

Introducing the L.I.F.E program!

As a member of L.I.F.E you will offer the following support :

L.I.F.E helps with the orientation and settlement process for the new students, both before and after their arrival. A LIFE member contacts their assigned students in August by email to greet the new student, provide information, answer questions about life at Laurier, and to make the new student feel comfortable and welcome.

You will also guide WLU Students throughout the process of seeking international exchange opportunities by providing ‘expert’ advice in a welcoming office setting. Student volunteers are dedicated to helping WLU students by interacting with them regarding possible exchange/international opportunities and sharing personal experiences. The goal is to prepare WLU students as much as possible prior to their overseas journey so that they will have a positive experience. As a LIFE member, you will be the representative responsible for sharing your experience for the culture you studied or lived in.
