Registration Info Specific to Global Studies
A note about GS 400 Seminars:
4th year students encountering problems registering for the 400"x" seminar series, please be aware that the GS 400 courses are reserved for those students who have declared a Research Specialization Option (RSO). A filter is in place for the GS 400 seminar courses which prevents students from registering. Students who have declared the RSO can e-mail either the administrative assistant (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the GS Academic Advisor (email@example.com) in order to acquire the override necessary to register into these course(s).
Students who have not declared an RSO but would be interested in taking the 400 seminar course(s) can request to be placed on a waiting list for the course(s) as long as they still meet the required minimum GPA (8.0). Again, please e-mail the administrative assistant (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the GS Academic Advisor (email@example.com) to be placed on a waiting list. You must specify which course waiting list you wish to be placed onto - if it is more than one, specify both courses, etc.
Two weeks from the date 4th year registration begins, if there are spots left in any of the GS 400 seminar courses, those students who have not declared RSOs but who meet the required minimum GPA (8.0) and are on the waiting list(s) for each course requested will be placed into remaining spots for the respective courses according to highest GPA ranking.
