Courtney in Bruce Peninsula during the plant field course in May 2012

Courtney Clayson

Since high school I have been very interested in biology, especially plant biology. In my final year as an undergrad I  did a thesis in Dr. Costea's lab studying the development of flower in Cuscuta gronovii. As a MSc student, I continue with a study of diversity, evolution and role of some curious structures found only on the flowers of certain desert species of Cuscuta. When not at school, I enjoy being active at the gym or at yoga, reading, spending time with friends and family and going to my cottage.
