Caitlin at Badlands (field course -- medicinal plants of Ontario, 2008

Caitlin Shea

Hi my name is Caitlin.  I'm in my last year of the Biology Honours program.  I am working in Dr. Costea's lab counting pollen using a Nikon SMZ1500 microscope and PAX-IT software in order to gain more insight into the reproductive biology of a parasitic plant called Cuscuta. I have taken the distance education Plant Anatomy courses, as well as Dr. Costea's biodiversity of plants and ethnobotany.  I particularly enjoyed ethnobotany as I am very interested in medicinal plants and their uses.

In my spare time I like to read, hang out with friends and family and travel.
