Rebecca Larson, M.Div, M.A., PhD

Personal Statement

I have a profound belief in the resiliency of the human spirit and the capacity of all people to grow and change, and to heal. It is a privilege for me to accompany people who seek wholeness for their lives and relationships, and to help them imagine and live into new solutions for what is important to them.

Rebecca is an ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. She is a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Areas of Special Interest

Anxiety, self-esteem, couples relationships, addictions, trauma, grief and loss, family transitions, vocational discernment. Rebecca brings experience working with gender and cultural aspects of therapy including "third culture," immigrant and refugee families. She welcomes clients from all faith traditions, and those whose values are not connected to any faith or religion.

Melanie Charlebois, M.A. (cand.), CYC (cert.), CCLS  

Personal Statement

I believe that play and creativity are natural and necessary parts of life. They allow humans to work through difficult emotions, engage in problem solving, and leads to personal growth. I view my role as that of a companion, walking alongside others in their journey.

Melanie is a Certified Child Life Specialist and has completed the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy's certificate program in play therapy. She is a professional member of the Child Life Council and the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counsellors. Additionally, she is a student member of the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy and International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Areas of Special Interest

Trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem, anxiety, change and transitions. Melanie brings experience working with children and teens with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges in addition to supporting families in which a parent or a child is receiving or has received hospitalization and/or medical treatment.

Personal Statement

Counselling provides an opportunity for you to share your story, explore questions of meaning, and unpack your experiences of brokenness. My hope is that through our sessions together you will begin to feel better, hold a deeper understanding of yourself, and have additional coping strategies you can use when encountering life's challenges.

Kyoung Kim (???) MA, CCC

Personal Statement

In our life journey, we encounter many different challenges which might be tough or light when we don’t expect them, but it is hard for us anyways. On the other hand, all humans have different uniqueness with resilience and recovery capacity from their encounters because I believe that a human body is physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually interconnected to live, grow, change, heal and to be a well-being. It is a wonderful privilege for me as a therapist who walks alongside together with those who seek to find balance in their challenged lives, support them to find their new solutions and to empower them to begin their new life journey.

Kyoung is an ordained pastor of the Assemblies of God, Korea in South Korea. He is a Canadian Certified Counsellor of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Areas of Special Interest

Kyoung’s special areas of interest are anger, anxiety, stress, depression, couple and family relationships, addictions, trauma, grief and loss, gender issues including LGBT. He is culturally open-minded to bring therapeutic aspects of Korean immigrant and families including other cultures. He also welcomes counselees from all faith and religious challenges.

Rob Menning McRae, MA

Personal Statement

I believe that all of us are on a path of healing and discovery that leads, eventually and inevitably, to the realization of our true potential.   I see psychotherapy as a powerful companion on this journey – it is a helpful friend that can help ease the burden during dark times, and it is a faithful partner that can guide us to move more quickly beyond our own limitations when we are moving towards a goal.   My practice is rooted in the wisdom of mindfulness, acceptance and nondual awareness, balanced by the value of modern cognitive therapy techniques.  It is my honour to walk with you a little while on this journey.

Personal Statement

Sometimes we have no words or words alone are not enough to understand and overcome struggles we may face during our lifetimes. Creative, visual expression can help people to convey and redefine their personal stories, granting each a unique voice with which to be heard. I am profoundly honoured to act as a gentle and supportive guide during this therapeutic journey, and to provide an open and inclusive healing place for all. My wish for you is that together we can work to enable you to safely explore problems and find healthy ways of coping, to discover strengths, find insight, to feel empowered and active in your own well-being, to gain a sense of hope and accomplishment, and ultimately, to flourish.

Amy enjoys working with all ages, especially children and youth in foster care or who have been adopted.
