Mary D'Alton

President and Managing Director, Waterloo Inn Conference Hotel

Mary D’Alton is very active in the local community. In 1992, she received the Governor General’s Medal for Community Service. Mary has also been honoured with the K-W Citizen of the Year Award in 1998 and recognition as a Melvin Jones Fellow from the International Lions Foundation. In 2007, she received the Award for the 150th City of Waterloo Legacy of Leaders, and was listed as one of the top 150 most influential people in Waterloo. At Laurier, Mary is Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors and is the recipient of the 2008 WLU Honorary Alumna Award.

Mary currently sits on a number of boards, including the Greater K-W Chamber of Commerce, Waterloo Economic Development Committee, Hospitality Industry Training Organization of Ontario (Smart Serve), the K-W YMCA Foundation, International Women’s Forum (IWF), and Waterloo North Hydro.
