Description of Lab Sessions: At the start of each lab session, a short introduction by the Laboratory Supervisor (or an undergraduate Instructional Assistant) will summarize the intended goals of the lab. A set of problems based on current work and required skill level will be handed out and each student will complete as much of the report as he/she can in the time allotted. Students should work independently on the problems, but may ask questions of the lab IA concerning general approaches, etc., to take. The final 15 minutes of the lab session will consist of a closed book quiz that's completed online using WeBWorK (introduced to students in first week).
Schedule of Lab Topics/Lab Prep/Solutions: To help you prepare, see the "Content" tab on the MA170 Lab MyLearningSpace homepage. The website will be updated on a weekly basis and contain weekly summary notes, an introduction to any additional applications, prep questions, solutions to assignments, and outline any Maple commands related to the material to be covered in the lab. The prep questions are to be completed online using WeBWorK and will be of great assistance when it comes to completing the online quiz! You should also review the relevant sections of the text and complete the assigned homework problems before attending the lab each week.
