Laura Kell is a B.Sc. graduate from the Biochemistry program at Laurier. She joined the lab in the fall of 2011 as an undergraduate research assistant. Since then she was also a member of the lab as a WLU URA Scholarship recipient in the summer of 2012, a research thesis student (CH490) through the 2012/2013 school year and a research assistant during the summer of 2013. Her work has involved the cloning and expression of various bacterial cellulose constructs (BcsE and BcsG). Laura is now pursuing a graduate degree under the tutelage of Dr. Anthony Clarke at the University of Guelph.
